August 8 @ 11:39 pmOk Comcast, I’ve been satisfied (not overjoyed mind you, just satisfied) with your cable service for several years now. My HD DVR has worked ok (not great, just ok) but at least it worked. Now you’ve “upgraded” the software on it and for the last two weeks, I don’t think it has worked for more than a few hours without crashing and burning. And only physically unplugging the power and plugging it back in will reset the box. I’ve talked to live tech support twice now, I’ve had a tech come out and look at it. And still… it crashes more than it works. Honestly, I think my setup box is about to have a violent accident. Maybe it’s time to start looking at digital satellite. I wonder if they really do offer more HD channels than cable…. hmm.

I will miss Time Warner Cable once I move up there. Sigh.

Dear Michael,
Thank you for your concern, we strive to be the best provider of cable television that you are forced to use. We apologize for the inconvenience that you have had to endure with our upgrades. They are there to provide better service to you, as we frantically try to keep people away from satellite and internet TV. Once again, thank you for your money. We’ll try to find an upgrade to the upgrade, so that your DVR will work okay.
Love,
Comcast

you know..I’ve had a dvr box now for a month and we still don’t have it hooked up because we don’t have cable in the living room. When I get all the boxes unpacked and moved DH has to run a cable from the basement up to the living room so we can use it. How lame is that? Who ever heard of not having cable in the living room? Of course there are no phone jacks in the bedroom either so what do I know…
I hope your box gets fixed soon..
Stacie
