The Blue Angels are in town for Seattle’s Seafair this weekend. A friend and I took an early lunch and went down to Boeing Field (where they keep the aircraft while in Seattle) to watch them depart and return for their Thursday morning orientation flight. Snapped photos of course, a few more over on Flickr.

Are you going to go back to Seafair this weekend? Please take photos for me! I’ll be there next year for it!

It’s unlikely that I’ll fight the crowds to actually go down to Lake Washington, hopefully I’ll be doing a day ride someplace interesting this weekend! If we can get together a group to go next year, I might be talked into going though!

If watching the Blue Angels perform doesn’t make your hair stand on end, you better check your pulse, cuz you just might be dead.
Beautiful shot.

Too cool! I used to live at (and I mean really ON) Paine Field. It was cool to see the planes all the time..
I love this pic. Awsome.

Actually Shephard, I did submit it to the Seattle P-I and it was selected as the #1 image in their reader-submitted Seafair photos. Of course, that and a couple of bucks will barely buy a cup of coffee in Seattle…
