This is rapidly becoming the “Year of the Concert” for me. On kind of a spur of the moment, I caught a live show of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts tonight. Fantastic concert! They played all of their old classics and new material off their recent “Sinner” album. All of it was wonderful. Joan Jett has a great stage presence and comes across as very humble and down-to-earth. I’m very happy I decided to go!
I’m even happier that the pre-show announcer mentioned that Cheap Trick is coming to the same venue in November. I’ll will absolutely be in the audience!

How fun!! I had no idea she was still even doing concerts. That’s too cool.
Bob and I are considering going to see Slayer and Marilyn Manson in concert together here in DC sometime in the near future. He’s a Slayer fan from back in the 80’s, and with my recent obsession with MM, it kinds seems silly to pass it up. On the other hand, I’m a little nervous about it. The only *REAL* concert I’ve ever been to is Huey Lewis and the News back in the 80’s. A considerable amount tamer than MM, I might just prove to be too old for this…

Oh yeah. Stacie’s gonna get lit like a Christmas tree at the MM concert. That’ll be good to hear about ~ after the fact!

what does that mean? I don’t think alchohol is allowed at the concert is it? Besides…I’m not so much for public intoxication…

Depends on the venue, the Joan Jett concert was at a casino. Not only was alcohol allowed they had hostesses circulating before the show taking drink orders! If it’s labeled as a 21 and up show, chances are there is alcohol!

Saw Joan on Broadway in Rocky Horror… she’s still got it.
