May 16 @ 6:34 pmSadly, still under the weather. I’ve got an appointment with a specialist next week for more diagnostics. Something just isn’t right and while the meds seem to help the symptoms, the root cause remains. Still *feels* like a kidney stone but the usual treatments don’t seem to be taking care of it.
That pretty much put the nails in the coffin of my road trip. I really wouldn’t feel comfortable being that far away from home while I’m dealing with these health issues. I wouldn’t be able to focus on my riding.
I did get in a short ride this week when I picked my bike up at the shop from having new tires installed, and that raised my spirits a bit. I’m not as bummed as you might think, it’s just the beginning of the best part of the year for riding so plenty of opportunities remain…

Sorry to hear that you won’t be able to do the planned trip … must be pretty bad pain to put a biker off! Hope it gets better soon, so that we see plenty more great photos of the mean machine out and about.

Oh Mike… I’m sooo very sorry… I was sending you all my good energy for this to pass. Sigh.

I’m sure there’s a really good reason why you’re not supposed to be on that trip. But that’s just the way my head works.
Sorry you’re under the weather, Mike, and it sucks not to be able to go have fun. Sending you healthy thoughts.

Well, I hope it gets resolved soon, but I’m glad you’re not feeling as bad about missing out on the trip as I thought you might. Good outlook!

Wishing you a speedy recover. Sorry you will miss out on this trip. I know I’d be really bummed, but the best of the riding season is just beginning.
