I’m not copying Leesa, I promise! Today I joined up with some folks from Jeff Henshaw’s Hog Blog to do a group ride up to the tulip fields of Skagit Valley and then on to La Connor, WA for lunch and a ride down Whidbey Island (again).
It was a different experience for me. I don’t normally do large group rides and I don’t normally ride with Harley Davidson’s and other cruiser style bikes. The riding style is more relaxed, slower, less aggressive. A nice change of pace but I still like my “normal” riding style. I’ll probably join them on future rides, as it’s also a more social group and I like that aspect of the hobby also.
Overall we had a great day. It started out pretty wet, warmed up and got sunny just before lunch and then cooled off and rained a bit more while we rode down across Whidbey Island. Once we got back on the mainland, the sun came out again and I had a nice ride home. Can’t complain about a day like that!
Plenty more photos from today over on Flickr!
