Alpha Dog

This week’s screening was Alpha Dog, a raw, gritty film based on real-life events. I have to confess, it wasn’t what I expected. The film features amazing performances by all of the leading actors, but the subject matter and brutal realism may make it hard to watch. Opens this weekend.

I heard they were very impressed with J.T. in this flick.

I’m not much on his music but he looks like he’d be a pretty good actor.

I’ve been thinking about this one…not sure if I want to see it or not…

I finally did that meme, posted it today. Thanks, it was fun.

Hmmm. Might be a bit gritty for me. :)

Did you see Arthur & the Invisibles yet? We thought it was light and fun, and visually compelling (if not the story itself all the time). Having a hubby as an animator, I can’t help but notice how…. sloppy some of the animation was, but it was a French studio and they may not have had the budget. But it would be a fun thing to take your daughter to. :) Characters and designs are great!

Can’t wait to hear your review of Bridge to Terabithia… we saw the trailer this weekend. Looks good!

Timberlake actually did a really good job in this film, though that might have been because he was playing a character similar to his real personality, though that’s just my opinion!

I agree Shepherd, this one might be too gritty for many people. Haven’t seen Arthur yet, Lindsey will be over this weekend so maybe she’ll talk me into taking her!
