This week’s screening was Alpha Dog, a raw, gritty film based on real-life events. I have to confess, it wasn’t what I expected. The film features amazing performances by all of the leading actors, but the subject matter and brutal realism may make it hard to watch. Opens this weekend.

I heard they were very impressed with J.T. in this flick.
I’m not much on his music but he looks like he’d be a pretty good actor.

I’ve been thinking about this one…not sure if I want to see it or not…
I finally did that meme, posted it today. Thanks, it was fun.

Hmmm. Might be a bit gritty for me.
Did you see Arthur & the Invisibles yet? We thought it was light and fun, and visually compelling (if not the story itself all the time). Having a hubby as an animator, I can’t help but notice how…. sloppy some of the animation was, but it was a French studio and they may not have had the budget. But it would be a fun thing to take your daughter to.
Characters and designs are great!
Can’t wait to hear your review of Bridge to Terabithia… we saw the trailer this weekend. Looks good!

Admit it…you went just to see Justin.

Timberlake actually did a really good job in this film, though that might have been because he was playing a character similar to his real personality, though that’s just my opinion!
I agree Shepherd, this one might be too gritty for many people. Haven’t seen Arthur yet, Lindsey will be over this weekend so maybe she’ll talk me into taking her!
