An Era Ends…

It’s official, I’m no longer part of the 30-something crowd… not sure how I feel about that yet! But as it’s now December 31st in Seattle, I’m 40 years old. Surely I will soon figure out what I want to do with my life… besides ride a motorcycle, that’s a given.

It’s also New Year’s Eve… I’m not really down with the whole resolution thing. Never really saw the point personally. This year, things are a little different.  I’m going to try to be more social this year. Get out more, meet people, some of them might even be women.  It could happen.

There are complications, I may seek your advice.  You have been warned…

Update 1: I also resolve to start replying to comments… this resolution thing is a slippery slope it appears!

Update 2: I thought my birthday should have a soundtrack… I like this song and it suits, dark though it may be.

After turning 40, I looked to the following quote as personal inspiration: “It is never too late to be what you might have been.”

Wishing you a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY…and a New Year’s ROCKIN’ EVE!

PS: your birthday “soundtrack” is awesome!

Happy Birthday Micheal!!! Happy New Years too…
I hope you get everything you want for your birthday and for the new year..
Do you still do community theater? That will help with the social thing…I have a frind who lives in Spanaway, she used to do alot of theater up until last year. I think she directs plays now rather than act in them. She’s a school teacher somewhere out that way by day…
    Single too….
    maybe a couple years older than you….maybe not, I can’t remember now…
    I’m just’ sayin’…

    Happy Birthday!

Thanks Shephard… Donna Summer eh? Hmmm… I never though to check who else might share my birthday.

Hey cool, according to Famous Birthdays I’m in good company, Val Kilmer, Ben Kingsley and Anthony Hopkins among others.

I spent most of my birthday working on a hot project for one of my freelance clients… not the most exciting thing in the world but considering the rate I’m charging him, it will make for a nice birthday present to myself in the near future!

Happy Belated Birthday! Wow, you are soooooooo old now. Will they have to put an extra wheel on your motorcycle so when you are swerving around like old drivers do?

    HAPPY (late) BIRTHDAY! :)

I’m pushing the big 4-0 myself (I turned 38 this year). And have VOWED to be 20 pounds lighter and in WAY better shape than I am now by the time I hit 40.

    God help us all.

    ;)
