November 14 @ 5:55 pmI thrive on chaos… change doesn’t bother me. When things are always the same, I tend to get bored. That said, I’m convinced that there are some things you shouldn’t voluntarily change.
I’ve always used Old Spice deodorant. It matches my Old Spice aftershave. I don’t have to worry about the scents clashing. I like that. While I was in and out of the hospital late last year though, they kept giving travel-sized deodorant sticks. I don’t remember what they were but they were ok. When I got out of the hospital I kept using them because I had a bagful of them. Earlier this month I finally ran out.
I went to the grocery store intending to pick up my old stand by, Old Spice. But wait, something new on the shelf! Oooh… deodorant with *dragons* on the label! Yes, I’m a sucker for dragons. So I bought it. Big mistake…
Oh it smelled fine, but it totally screwed up my showering routine. See there is a process in place that I use. Brush teeth, shower, dry off, apply Lectric Shave pre-shave lotion, apply deodorant while that dries for a few seconds, then shave and clean ears. The new deodorant didn’t play well. You see, the pre-shave is designed to *reduce friction* so you don’t get razor burn. This makes your fingers a little slick. And I could not get the danged cap off the deodorant! Never had this problem with the hospital deodorant or Old Spice, but this new stuff had an impossible cap design.
I finally got so frustrated I chucked it and went and bought a new stick of Old Spice. Harmony has returned to my shower experience. There are some things, you shouldn’t muck around with…

Hey ! Go look in your trash and tell me what the label on that dragon deodorant is. Does it just come in men’s? I want one!! Even if not…my son wants it. We are such dragon nuts! LOL

LOL, too funny Micheal. I hate when they change lables on me of something I’ve been using for years. One lable change, and I’m convinced the product has been “compromised” in some way. I agree…some things just shouldn’t be mucked with!

I’ll be honest with you. The smell of Old Spice on a man gets me googly in the knees. Farenheit is my all-time fave, but Old Spice? OMG.
*GOOGLY*

Right now, I have the same bodywash-shampoo and cologne, so it all goes together… I totally understand the ease.
I actually collected dragons and dragon accessories when I was younger, so I would have been weak to get the dragon…

/chucks into wastebasket.
I brush my teeth after the shower but before I take the towel off my head and before lotion application. It puts the lotion on its skin….
Hehehe…

You’re a sick one, Laura..lol.
I have that problem sometimes too, I put lotion on my face first and then I can’t get my deoderant open

“Yes, I’m a sucker for dragons.”
Me too! Me too!!!
But I’m the same way when it comes to stuff like that…I see something new and think “Ooo…I need to try that!”, then end up hating it, chucking it and buying the same old stuff. But if it works, you gotta use it!

For years I have used Lagerfeldt cologne. A couple of years ago I ran our, and it was Christmas, so that was at the head of the Christmas list ….Lagerfeldt Cologne. I got lots of cologne, but none of it was Lagerfeldt.
Out of fairness, I gave each a chance, Stetson…..no Black Belt…..no. couple of others…..no.
I had to go buy my own Lagerfeldt.
We do get stuck in out ways.
