Crikey… it’s Monday already! Where did the weekend go?! Ah well, LAN parties will do that to you. Matt and I both attended. I think we were there from 5pm Friday until 2am Saturday morning, crawled home for a few hours sleep and then back at 10am Saturday morning for a big group breakfast. Played all day Saturday and got home finally a little after midnight. Both of us slept in Sunday morning… I finally noticed sometime in the early afternoon that time had changed. Being media deprived all weekend I completely forgot about it! Fortunately most of my clocks set themselves so I wasn’t too far out of synch with the rest of the world.
To further cement my status as an alpha nerd, I have to confess that I started playing World of Warcraft again this weekend. I started playing when the game launched but finally stopped after investing far too many hours into about six months ago. Well, a few friends prevailed on me to come back and I find I’m enjoying it again. Anyone else play it? It’s quite habit forming if you’re into fantasy worlds.

I know a bloggy friend that plays it. I hear it’s really good. Glad to see you surface! LOL

I loved Warcraft II and played the game several times… Even played SW Battlegrounds… those were fun. Recently, I had wanted to go get some free maps for Warcraft2 but my install CD must be bad…poo.
Sounds like you had some fun! You need those cookies to stay awake!

sounds like you had a good time. I can’t play video games for 2 reasons..
1) they make me sick..motion sickness that is..every time.
2) When I finally get used to the motion (it takes weeks) by that time I’m so addicted that it gets in the way of living my life and I had to quit.
Several have been recommended to me, the one you mentioned was among them, but I was a Tomb Raider Junkie for a little over a year. It was awful! I loved every minute of it. LOL

I played the beta of WoW, but some friends convinced me to play EQ2 instead. I played that for a while and then life got in the way. I haven’t picked up a new MMORPG full time yet. I’ve played the Vanguard and LoTRO betas. Conan looks really good as well. We’ll see what I pick up when they release.

Oh I am SO into fantasy worlds…which is EXACTLY why I would never attempt to play…I’d get sucked in, never get any work done and fight with The PK over time spent on-line.
Must….not….play…computer…..games.

I’ve never played a game like that. I’m afraid. Well, not afraid.
Worried. Yeah, that’s it. Worried that I will get addicted…like blogging’s not enough. Worried that I will look stoopid because I don’t ‘get’ it. Worried that my already long sufferin’ husband will walk away if I spend any more time on the computer. (he tries to play these games with his friends, but doesn’t really like to) Worried that I will get even more out of shape and unhealthy…
Okay, that’s enough worrying for one day.
But..it sounds like you had a GRREAT weekend with your boy. That’s so cool that you can enjoy something together. Not too many father’s and son’s can.

Never played an online game, but many offline.
Did you see the South Park recently that spoofed it? Hilarious.
