September 19 @ 8:51 amStacie has started a new meme for Tuesdays that has you posting video clips. My first one is of course, motorcycling! This is a video I did a while back but never posted to my blog. This is a short clip of a run through the Gilford Pinchot National Forest. I confess, I used this one because it was all ready to go! I’ll try to come up with something besides motorcycling videos in the future!

HA! I KNEW that was Metallica! Love it!
LOL Great video Micheal…the perfect one for your first You Tuebsday, it’s definitely you! I have a few questions for you…
how did you get a 5 minute video onto you tube? I had a 2 minute video and I tried several times and you tube said it was too big, do I have to have a paid account to upload bigger vids? How do you attach music to your videos? I loved the still shots embedded in the middle of the video, very neat effect, how can I do that? Do I need special video editing software to achieve that? This was awsome! Loved it. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next week. Stacie

The limit on YouTube is 10min or 100MB. If your 2min video is being rejected it may be larger than 100MB. If so, you need to reduce the quality to get it under the size limit.
I use the free video editing software that comes with WindowsXP, called Windows Movie Maker. It works just fine!
To add a soundtrack you just import the MP3 you want to use and add it to the music track. It also lets you mix video and stills like I did in this video!

Rock on!!!
So if I use the Windows Movie Maker, I can shrink my movie to less than 100MB??

Very nice work Michael. I particularly liked the away shots interspersed in the body and although I am not so much a fan of heavy metal any more, the song was perfection!

Burn your face against the chrome? lol
The song wasn’t half bad actually.
I love the random flashes of sunlight against the windshield; some were actually in time to the music.

Really nice video. I have always wanted to try that but not sure how to mount the camera. I have to settle for still shots for now.
