Drained…

I survived my racetrack experience. My bike and I came home in the same condition we left. I was faster at the end of the day than I was at the beginning of the day.  I learned much that will help me be a better, safer rider on the street.  And I foresee additional track days in the budget for next riding season.

All in all, a great day!  Unfortunately, there were approximately 8 accidents during the day’s riding sessions but no one was seriously injured. Statistically, it’s bound to happen with that many motorcycles exploring their limits on a racing track.  Still safer than riding on the street… 8)

They had a pro photographer there taking photos on the track throughout the day. They’ll be available in roughly a week, so perhaps I’ll have something to show you late next week.

    Wow, eight accidents.
I suppose it depends on how many total bikers there were, lol.

Glad you go the most out of your experience, without losing any skin. :)

I’d estimate there were in excess of 100 motorcyclists riding in three different groups based on skill level. Each group was on the track at a different time, 20 minutes each hour. The accidents were anticipated. People tend to ride over their heads in situations like these and a wreck is usually the result. Fortunately, on a track there isn’t much to run into and in all of today’s cases, the result was a bruised ego and potentially expensive motorcycle repairs.

Did they have a professional repair guy there to provide estimates?? If not, that might be a great job to earn some extra money AND be at the track!
