The photo-safari to Woodland Park Zoo went great! Shooting through some of the glass partitions proved to be a challenge but I managed to get most of the shots I wanted. Unfortunately most of the big cats were holed up out of the heat. I’ll have to plan a return trip with the kids in the near future to try again!

Wow, those are EXCELLENT pictures! They look more like postcards, they’re so clear!

I haven’t been to WPZ in ages. My fave animal to visit was the Red Panda, and their stellar Nocturnal house (I’ve yet to see another as good).
Used to love it. Do the free-roaming peacocks still chase visitors? lol

Wow, Michael! Great job on the pics! I love zoos. I haven’t been to a zoo in almost 10 years. Geez, how pathetic.

The elephant and the bear seem to be smiling. I’ll bet they both would have liked a hug, eh.

Thanks for the compliments everyone… I’ll definately be heading back for a second round as soon as possible, maybe this weekend if I get some free time. I also need to visit our other local zoo, Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium.
