Finally watched Undead. Let me just say three words: Australian. Independent. Zombies.
I am a fan of all things zombies, but this one was something different I have to say. Not at all what I expected. Definate “B movie” fare but enjoyable nonetheless. This is the movie you would make if you woke up one morning and found you had a movie camera and a discount coupon for stage blood in lots by the tanker truck. The squeamish need not apply. A healthy sense of humor required.
If you’re into the genre, it’s worth renting at least. And if you’re not, well I promise a clean headshot when you come back as a ravening undead beast… forewarned is forearmed.

June 7 @ 7:58 amI spent yesterday, am spending today and will spend tomorrow attending a series of all day meetings. About the only good thing I can say about it is that I have Internet access and they are catering breakfast and lunch.
Sitting in this meeting, I can almost hear my brain cells as they give a last, little sob before their life is extinquished. Meetings are the bane of my existance. I have become a professional meeting attender. If only it didn’t pay so bloody well… *sigh*
On the horizon, the weekend and a forecast for warm, sunny weather. Bring it on! I’m thinking motorcycle ride on Sunday. My riding partner Jim is interested, we just have to decide where to roll. There could be video.

Well, only sort of. My son Matt adopted a new kitten a few weeks ago. His name is Kiko! It’s Japanese and I’m told it roughly translates to “tree child” or “wild child.” It’s a suitable name for this one, trust me on this! This is the first pet that Matt has been responsible for and he’s having a blast so far. I had an opportunity to snap a few photos this evening when I dropped the kids back off at their mom’s house.
June 4 @ 12:27 amHoly cow, I could get into this kind of “dancing!”

This week’s Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt theme is “Mirror.”
I of course immediately thought of this first photo, one of my favorites of my daughter Lindsey. This was taken on Easter Day this year. Her mother’s house has a large mirror in the entry way and Lindsey likes to look at herself in it. I coerced her into posing for this shot though!
Next, since I have a reputation to maintain, I figured out a way to get my motorcycle into this theme! This is a photo from last year taken during a ride from Seattle to Coeur D’Alene, Idaho. My ex and the kids were spending a weekend at Silverwood Theme Park and I was invited to join them. I decided to ride over on the bike and take the opportunity to explore the North Cascades Highway on my way. This particular shot is from well over on the eastern side of the Cascades. This is one beautiful ride… from the coast, through the mountains, to the farmlands and desert.
Finally, because I figured out a way to sneak another motorcycle photo into this theme, I finish up with this photo. What you say? You see no mirror? Aha… but, the lake in the background is Reflection Lake in the Mount. Rainier National Park. And what do you see in a mirror? Your reflection! This photo was taken last year during a day ride through the park.
