I love having the kids over, but it’s nice having the house to myself after they go home too. I’m spoiled really, I get the best of both worlds.

We mostly vegged this weekend. Matt and I worked on the bike, swapped windshields and tinkered with a few odds and ends. Sunday was an absolutely beautiful day. Warm, sunny and relaxing. I fired up the grill for brats and hotdogs to celebrate the weather.

I wrapped up today hanging with Lindsey. She handed me my head in a cut-throat game of “Candyland” while we watched “School of Rock.” I’m trying to convince her that she wants to play bass in a rock band when she’s older. She’s not buying in yet, but I’m persistant.

Leesa is at it again with the color testing… of course I followed along! I’m a sucker for self examination. Fortunately the results this time were predictable.

This week’s Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt theme is “Silly.” I immediately went pawing through old photos of my daughter. She’s an endless source of deliberate goofiness and I love her for it! I couldn’t find the specific photo I had in mind, it’s lost in the archive somewhere. This one will do nicely though… it’s certainly silly! We were heading back to Seattle from vacation in Vancouver, BC. I’m not sure what she was doing exactly, but she wound up with her stuffed mouse on her head and I immortalized it for all time!

Hmm… on the other hand this photo is fairly silly also. I like to shoot in portrait orientation a lot, with the camera turned sideways. You can see what Lindsey thought of that idea. And for the record, I was *not* responsible for that shirt!

Jeez, I’m having a hard time deciding… there is so much material to choose from! This third one is DEFINATELY silly… and a good example of the kind of things I have to put up with from my kids.

I’d share a few goofy photos of my son but he’s a teen now and doesn’t like to be reminded that he might have been silly in the past.

Leesa posted this test over at her blog. The results from such a seemingly simple test are almost frightening! It’s not 100% for me, but it’s close enough that it nearly knocked the wind out of me.

The forecast is for blue skies and warm weather. The kids are over all weekend while their mom is out of town. Matt wants to help me work on the bike.  I feel the need to dance with Lindsey. I’m thinking a photo safari is called for.

Suprise, suprise… Fedex stopped by first thing this morning instead of late in the afternoon as usual! My shiny new camera mount was unpacked and being examined before he got back to his truck. A responsible person would have put it aside and attended to their work but well… I’m a creative, romantic, artistic, dreamer, motorcyclist… I don’t see responsible in the list. I took the only reasonable course of action for a person like me!

This was mostly a test run to check for vibration and fit. I need to do something about glare off the windscreen, maybe swapping to my clear one will help. I’ll try that this weekend if time permits. Everything else worked great though! Check it out and let me know what you think…
