Or at least, that’s what I tell people. Actually, I do dance… but not on two feet. I dance on two wheels. And instead of chamber music or the latest pop hit spinning on the turntable, I move to the beat of an inline four and the rythm of the pavement disappearing behind me. I don’t have a lot of experience on the dance floor, but if it’s anything like dancing on two wheels, it liberates your soul and lets you leave your cares behind. And today… I needed to dance.
March 30 @ 8:47 pmIs there anything better than turning around and seeing your 10-year-old daughter bopping along to the songs you listened to when you were young? I’m combing through my collection of 80’s music *ahem* on my computer and turned around to check what she was doing on her computer and found her totally engrossed in my music, dancing in her chair as she plays on “Neopets.”
Ahhh… it warms a father’s heart… ![]()
March 30 @ 12:40 pmWhy is it Thursday always seems to be my busiest day of the week? Maybe because I want to slack off on Friday so I cram everthing in? Hmm… interesting theory. E-mails have gone out kicking off the CD xChange we’re starting up here. If you thought you were in and you haven’t gotten an e-mail from me, let me know. I’m charging out the door to visit the bank, eat lunch, drop off digital files for a mail art project I’m working on *snicker*, hit the rifle range, then pick up Lindsey for a daddy/daughter night now that she is feeling a little better. Sounds relaxing doesn’t it… :dizzy:

I never like my own self portraits, but as far as they go I can live with this one. To accompany the “me inside” post I thought I’d create a new “me outside” photo. Hmmm… the inside me is much cooler… and thinner and younger!
Still, this is a decent celebration of the fact my bike is back from the shop with new tires and brakes, I received my new Joe Rocket Meteor jacket and the best part of riding season is nearly upon us here in the PNW. I even ordered a few new motorcycle books from Amazon today to help me plan new rides this year. All in all, I’m ready… let’s ride!
(Hmm… need to get my son to cut the grass next time he’s over!)
March 29 @ 10:39 amNot to pick on poor Lisa, but this is the funniest danged thing I’ve read in recent memory. It’s nice knowing that stuff like this happens to other people too! ![]()
March 29 @ 8:25 amStumbled into this over at Pam’s…
1. Do you blog to make friends with people you will eventually meet in real life? I certainly wouldn’t mind meeting some of the people I’ve encountered through blogging, some of you are pretty intriguing folk! I have met and ridden with people I’ve encountered through online motorcycling communities. In fact I’ll be riding down to northern California in May for a meet with a bunch of riders from around the western states. So if you setup a meet, and it’s within a few days ride of Seattle… well, I just might show up…
March 28 @ 10:11 amMy poor daughter is stuck with me today. She’s home sick and her mom has school today, so Lindsey has to curl up at my house… fortunately I work at home most days. She can barely talk, sore throat, congestion, the works. She’s taken over the couch and is engrossed in watching Animal Planet for now.
March 27 @ 10:31 pmOk, maybe not… but I do have an urge to indulge in some mix CD goodness. Anyone interested in setting up a small mix CD exchange to swap custom-made compilations around? All you need is a CD burner, something like iTunes to create/burn your playlist and a desire to share some of your favorite mixes. Interested? Leave a comment indicating that you’re in (don’t include contact info at this point) and I’ll start coordinating if there is enough interest.

For future reference, if you ever decide to drop your moto off to have new tires installed over a weekend, pick a shop that ISN’T closed on Monday. Because if it *is* closed on Monday, that Monday will turn out to be the most stunningly gorgeous sunny day in recent memory. A day perfect for mounting up and cutting out of work early in search of the perfect line through the perfect curve. Or you could be like me, sitting inside at the computer pouting because it’s supposed to rain tomorrow when you pick your motorcycle up.

No, just a typical gray Seattle day in black and white through a polarizing filter. I was heading towards Burien, WA near my home for lunch when I saw the clouds over Puget Sound. So I grabbed some take-out and headed to Seahurst Park to eat and spend some time communing with my camera.
